Aerosmith Status:PHOTOS BELOW)
All 4 of his legs are detached from his body, but they are complete and ready to attach. I have to be sure I finished with the underside of his neck and chest before I attach them, otherwise, there is no way to work in that area. I just have a few more wrinkles to ad on his neck, then I"ll permanently attach the legs.
Aerosmith is going to have a wood base with a clear acrylic rod that goes up into his belly. Years ago, I purchased all the rods, but I have since decided that he needs much longer rods. The ones I got were 5 inches, and he needs them at least 8 inches long. Since his legs will not be supporting any weight and are tucked up close to his body, he may not need wires in his legs. I will decide that after casting a few and testing the legs.
BELOW PHOTOS WERE TAKEN MAY 9, 2014. PHOTOS OF THE HEAD ONLY SHOW THE "HICKSTEAD HEAD" THAT HE WILL HAVE. IT WILL REPLACE THE HEAD IN THE PHOTOS THAT SHOW THE BODY. IN ALL PHOTOS HE IS AT A 'WORK- IN-PROGRESS' STAGE. HIS MANE AND TAIL WIL BOTH BE LOOSE AND HIS MANE WILL BE PULLED. I AM LIKELY TO OFFER A BRAIDED VERSION AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE, BUT I CAN'T SAY WHEN OR IF THAT WILL HAPPEN FOR SURE.
